Rick, you should come to the Allgaeu in Germany, there we do have very steep fairways, where you will not like to lie golfball in every position there. This is our daily challenge when we play golf!

Love these type of technical videos. That downward lie is well tricky. Full shots in my opinion are a bit easier than let’s say a 1/4 or 1/2 swing around a green and possibly on a much tighter lie than those fluffy ones your on. Extended video possibly?

Rick - Love the video! On the downhill lie if you increase the loft, won't you lose the distance? How do you compensate for that? Or do you have to accept that you are not in the position to get it on the green and you are officially in scramble mode to make par?

BALL ABOVE FEET: Ball flight: - ball more likely to move to left - more loft on club = more likely pull to left Set-up: - stand tall - grip club further down - aim right Swing: - don’t be static - turn into swing BALL BELOW FEET: Ball flight: - slight movement to the right Set up: - bend knees - stick bum out - lean forward - weight in front of feet - aim just left of flag Swing: - turn through shot UPHILL LIE: Set up: - tilt body back to be parallel to ground - right leg straighter then left Loft: - more loft added to club (take a club lower down e.g. 8 to 7) Swing: - turn body through shot DOWNHILL LIE: Set up: - parallel to hill - straighten left leg Loft: - Loft lowers; 7 iron = less loft = lower flight - go up to 8 Swing: - turn through shot

This video could have been 10 seconds long to get the definitive answer. You said “There are putters out there for half the price that feel just as good, and I made more putts with them.” That should be the start, middle and end of the discussion.
